Phillip Goble: My Biog
Phillip has sketched and painted for much of his life and takes most of his inspirational cues from nature and wildlife, as well as having occasional interests in still-life and architectural subjects.
Largely self-taught, he has also benefitted from two particularly motivational mentors who convinced him that he possessed a strong talent worth pursuing. So, following a long career in engineering, including over 16 years as a design draughtsman, he now devotes much of his time furthering his artistic aspirations, as well as wildlife surveying (particularly bird-life). It is therefore no surprise that birds as well as the land and sea-scapes in which they occur feature greatly in his work.
Phillip’s aim is to produce evocative and atmospheric images that convey to the viewer the inspiration that nature never fails to provide him with.
