Mark Titman: My Biog
Mark Titman, thinker, painter and director of the small Dorset-based architectural practice Titman Design, has been senior lecturer at Greenwich University and The Bartlett School of Architecture. His artwork includes printing and painting. Many of his pieces are used to vitalise the spaces where they are hung. He has exhibited his paintings and designs at the Design Centre, Building Centre, Stephan Lawrence Gallery, Bear Space and the Laban Centre, all in London, and has been published in international design magazines.
He was previously a research fellow at the Royal College of Art and a consultant to the European Space Agency. His papers have also been read at The Royal Academy; and he has also worked with the Creatureshop animatronics company to prepare installations for the Design Council. The practice recently won the commission from Tiffany & Co. to design drinking fountains for London’s Royal Parks, the first of which is already installed in Green Park. Mark has also recently had published a popular edition of Architectural Design, an internationally respected periodical, entitled ‘The New Pastoralists: Landscape Into Architecture’. Mark is currently working on new houses and conversions in and around S.E. London and The Isles of Purbeck.
