Having been inspired by an excellent art teacher at school, David has been painting since leaving college using his interest in the subject in his career as a primary school teacher. He particularly enjoys painting landscapes with and without buildings, seascapes and sunsets in watercolour but also paints still life during the winter months. He is interested and influenced by Railway posters of the 1930’s and 40’s
Since moving to Wareham in 2009, David has enjoyed the stimulus of the beautiful Isle of Purbeck . His style is broadly realistic and people are attracted by the freshness and detail of his work. He is a member of the Wareham Art Club and exhibits with them in Wareham Town Hall three times a year.
David is happy to accept local commissions.
